Congratulations to the February 2023 Affiliate of the Month, Heatherdale Tennis Club.  

Heatherdale Tennis Club recently upgraded eight of the courts to have LED’s, to ensure they can use their facilities the best they can.  

Due to the club’s growth, the LED lights will enhance the experience at the club with more night tennis programs for more people. 

Peter Clark, Treasurer of Heatherdale Tennis Club, has been instrumental in submitting all relevant documentation to funding bodies and has been well engaged with Tennis Victoria in collecting data. 

The project was almost completely funded through grants, with most coming from the Sustainability Victoria’s Community Climate Change and Action Program. Tennis Australia’s National Court Rebate (NCR) and Bendigo Bank also assisted in the project.  

The club held a celebration for the grand opening of the lights which included food, drinks, a free hit on the courts and a live band to thank everyone for their support.
