Paynesville Tennis Club are the affiliate of the Month for October 2022. The community tennis club located in the East Gippsland Shire have undertaken some key actions recently that have resulted in great change for the tennis club.  

In the last six months the club has worked with Tennis Victoria to:  

• Develop a participation improvement model. To do this they needed to implement some new initiatives (some listed below) to improve participation and the overall club health of Paynesville Tennis Club.  
• Develop their Club Governance structure. For the first time in a long time they have been able to allocate different individuals to Executive roles 
• Do their HiT tool assessment which has helped them to collaborate with TV to develop a club Action Plan.  
• Learn to use the ClubSpark system to manage their membership, produce a website and start online court bookings. Paynesville Tennis Club also purchased the Igloohome lock to make access to their courts easier for public and casual use. These new initiatives have lead to their first ever online membership subscription.  
• Registered for Tennis Hot Shots Community Play to encourage and welcome juniors to their club.  
• Recognise the need for social media in promoting their club to the wider community. Their first step has been to connect with their existing players and members online while they work on a content plan for public page to be launched soon. 

All of this great work has lead to some big wins for Paynesville Tennis Club.
