10 May 2022 | Tennis Victoria

Anglicare Victoria Buldau Yioohgen and Tennis Victoria invite Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander youth to attend a fun afternoon of tennis on Sunday 29 May 2022. This event is an opportunity to be a part of the AO2023 as Ball Kids or part of the Victorian representative team heading to the National Indigenous Tennis Carnival in Darwin in 11 -14 August 2022.

Tennis Victoria Inclusion Lead Danielle Lowerson said “After a number of successful Culture on Court experiences over the past few months, Tennis Victoria is thrilled to offer pathway opportunities for young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander players.  The last National Indigenous Carnival was in 2019 when Team Victoria won the Ash Barty Cup, and we’re looking for a strong team to take the win again.”

“We are looking forward to supporting Tennis Australia’s First Nations Ballkid Program.  At AO2022, Rhys and Lewis loved their experience as Ballkids, and it is great to be able to extend this opportunity to more kids for AO2023″
