Tennis Victoria is thrilled to announce a new partnership with the Victorian State Government and the Positive Start program.

Tennis Victoria is excited to be involved with the Positive Start in 2022 initiative which provides Victorian students more opportunities to participate in fun and engaging experiences in 2022.

Over the past two years, kids have missed many of those extra-curricular activities that are such an important part of their whole education.

That’s why the Victorian Government is investing $112.9 million in the Positive Start in 2022 initiative to help students bounce back into the world and experience the richness of Victorian life and culture.

Tennis Victoria are excited to partner with the Department of Education and Training to offer a unique and wonderful program for Victorian students as part of the Positive Start in 2022 initiative.

As a program that forms part of the Programs stream of funding, Tennis Victoria will roll out its Classroom to Court Initiative – a program designed to help with the transition from school-based play to club-based play.

The Tennis Victoria “Classroom to Court” program is a 4- week school-based program, aligned to curriculum and delivered by a local provider with the final week being a fun, welcoming and inclusive event at the local tennis club. Through this link, we will look to create ongoing connections between club, school and participant post program completion. Equipment will be made available, where required. The program can be run for classes of up to 30, from grade 3 all the way to year 10.

Tennis Victoria will provide the support and professional development opportunities for deliverers. Tennis Victoria will also provide promotional activities, including participant giveaways and certificates with details of the local club the school will be partnering with on this program.
