The Greensborough Tennis Club has a proud tradition of serving the community since 1923. Through the clubs history they have had many long serving and pivotal members; Dot Fitzgerald ranks in the very top echelon of these.

Dot has been the Club Treasurer since 2002 and served on the committee for a number of years before. Dot’s positive and supportive approach has ensured that the club has been able to meet its financial objectives. Most importantly her diligence in the administration and payment of the loan from Banyule Council to resurface four courts during the drought, has provided the club with highly sought after assets.

Dot has also been an anchor to the mid-week ladies teams on court having represented the club for more years than she would care for me to mention!

The club has a key objective to grow social tennis, especially continuing engagement with players who can no longer play competitively. The ladies social group meet once a week, coordinated and run by Dot who has done so for nearly a decade.

Dot plays a pivotal role in the life of the Greensborough Tennis Club and her impact on the club is immeasurable.

Congratulations Dot and thank you for your contribution to tennis in Victoria.
