Well done to our Victorians for their recent success on court

Players selected to represent Victoria or Australia in prestigious Teams events

  • Destanee Aiava was selected to represent Australia in the Fed Cup World Group Play-off Tie Vs Netherlands
  • Daria Gavrilova was selected to represent Australia in the Fed Cup World Group Play-off Tie Vs Netherlands
  • Cooper White was selected for the 16/u Junior Davis Cup team to compete in the Oceania Zonal qualifying event

Victorians who won at ITF Tournaments (Open & Senior), WTA & ATP level events

  • Jeremy Beale won the Renmark Paringa Council Men’s Tennis International Doubles title, and won the Australia F2 Futures Doubles title in Mildura, both alongside partner Thomas Fancutt QLD
  • Marc Polmans won the Renmark Paringa Council Men’s Tennis International Singles title, Australia F3 Futures Singles title in Mornington and the Australia F2 Futures Singles title in Mildura
  • Dylan Alcott won the Cajun Classic Singles title in Baton Rouge, LA
  • Jaimee Fourlis won the $25,000 Canberra Pro Tour Event Singles title, making it her second Pro Tour title that she has won
  • Matthew Romios won the ITF Futures Doubles title at Mornington
  • Destanee Aiava won the ITF Futures Singles title in Osaka, Japan

Victorian juniors who won at ITF Junior Tournaments, State and Nationals events

  • Mudiwa Munyimani won the 12/u Boys’ Singles grass court championships held in Adelaide, SA
  • Cooper Errey (with partner Nicolas Tremblay – NT), won the 12/u Boys’ Doubles grass court championships held in Adelaide, SA

Other outstanding Victorian achievements

  • Gabriella Ioannou (Maribyrnong College) and Timothy Karpinski (Box Hill Senior Secondary College) won SSV Sporting Blue Secondary School awards
  • Cooper Errey (Templestowe Park Primary School) won a SSV Sporting Blue Primary School award
  • Eloise Swarbrick, Katelyn Kissack, Olivia Quigley, Samantha Ritchie, Jasmin Starr, Amy Stevens, Steffi McDonald, Gabriella Ioannou, Corey Clarke, Jack Clements, Ben Grumley, Tim McConchie, Jordon Glowacki, Thomas Patton, Hugh McManus and Harry Boyd have all been accepted into the 2018 School Sports Australia Victorian 18/u Pizzey Cup Team
