Tennis Victoria is pleased to announce the 2018 Pizzey Cup team.

These students will take to the courts at the UQ Sport Tennis Centre between 28 April and 6 May in what will surely be an enthralling display of tennis.

The Pizzey Cup is a prestigious national schools tennis championships open to students from year seven through to year 12 inclusive.

The Pizzey Cup is conducted by SSA in partnership with Tennis Australia. The national event attracts Australian Ranking points. In addition, an individual 18/u singles event, attracting Platinum AR points, known as the Australia Cup, is run in conjunction with the Teams event.

Tennis Victoria Player Support and Events Administrator, Jessica McCormack is hopeful the group of students will bring home some strong results.

“We would like to congratulate the 16 players that were selected to represent Victoria, it’s a significant achievement,” McCormack said.

“We hope they enjoy their time in Queensland and are able to look back on this event as a personal highlight.

“Historically we have had strong results and we’re confident this team will continue that trend and do our state proud,” she said.
