1 May 2014 | Tennis Victoria

A Special General Meeting of Tennis Victoria will be held on Wednesday 21 May. Notice was provided to the Secretaries of all Tennis Victoria affiliates on Wednesday 16 April.

The notice of the meeting and all accompanying information can be found here.

The purpose of the meeting is to seek approval to update the TV Constitution to further bring it in line with what is most appropriate for TV as an organisation and what is modern best practice of corporate governance and sport. This requires a 75% majority vote of those in attendance. It is not compulsory for affiliates to attend and vote but all that can are encouraged to do so by the TV Board to attend and to support the special resolutions being submitted to the SGM. As per our Constitutional processes and requirements, only Registered Representatives of affiliates who are present in-person at the SGM are able to vote. For clarity, only those affiliates who have formally nominated a designated Registered Representative are able to cast such a vote (i.e. only via the attendance of that particular Registered Representative, or his/her previously nominated Substitute).

The list of those currently registered can be found here.

Those affiliates intending to attend the SGM on 21 May – whether already having a Registered Representative to do so and/or intending to register one in the lead up to the meeting – please let Tanya Mason know, on (03) 8420 8418 or [email protected] of your intention to attend.  Parking will be made available at AAMI Park and further detail in this regard will go out in due course to all those that have indicated their likely attendance.
