With the kids back at school and the holiday period done and dusted what better time to pick up a racquet and get involved in tennis.

Tennis is a game for everyone and the desire to get out on court and hit a ball like Novak Djokovic or Victoria Azarenka has reached an all-time high after two weeks of scintillating tennis at Melbourne Park.

That’s where Tennis Victoria’s Mums’ Program comes into play. Running from 25 February – 29 March, the program costs just $35 for five weeks of group coaching and allows mums to take some valuable “me” time while meeting other mums and playing tennis. Open to players of all standards, some of the benefits include:

• Improving health, having fun and getting fit
• Exercising without having to find childcare
• Receiving expert tennis coaching from a Tennis Australia qualified coach
• Trying Cardio Tennis; a fun, social, fitness based program for the last 2 weeks
• Free equipment use
• A great taste of tennis and get involved with the local tennis club for a minimal cost

If childcare is a problem, we also offer a Tiny Tots Program to cater for children aged 3-5. *

“We understand that finding childcare can be difficult for mums, so we also offer a Tiny Tots Program for children at a cost of just $15 for the same five weeks,” said James Madder, Tennis Victoria’s Community Tennis Officer who manages the program.

“The Tiny Tots Program helps children develop their fundamental motor skills such as hand-eye coordination, balance, depth perception and reflexes.”

The Mums’ Program is available to new participants only and mums must be participating in the Mums’ Program for their child to participate in the Tiny Tots Program.

*The Tiny Tots Program is run subject to coach availability.
