Lanyard cards are a tool that can be used to share messages, can help someone to understand information and to express themselves. The Tennis Victoria lanyard cards have phrases and questions accompanied by pictures specific to tennis lessons. Lanyard cards include quick, regularly used messages, and can be used flexibly across locations as they are small and easily portable.
These communication cards resources are for all students but particularly helpful for students who:
- Do not use speech
- Have speech that is hard to understand
- Speak another language
- Need help with understanding

Lanyard chat cards – The chat cards can be used throughout the lesson, students might use these cards to express themselves.
Lanyard lessons instruction cards – The instruction cards can be used to help give instructions in a lesson
Student message cards – The student message cards are used by students to communicate with their coach about their thoughts and feelings. These cards can be personalized to portray a message specific to the student.
Communication board – A communication board is a tool that can be used to share messages. A communication board can help a student understand information and to express themselves. The Tennis Victoria communication boards have phrases and questions accompanied by pictures specific to tennis lessons.
Visual schedule – A picture schedule is a set of picture cards which show the steps for an activity. It can be used to show a student what will happen during the tennis lesson and in what order.
Schedule cards – The schedule cards are used with the visual schedule. These cards contain pictures of different activities and actions to outline the tennis lesson.
Social story – A story book of tennis
