Congratulations to Alex Hogan on being the December Community Champion of the Month!

Alex Hogan is the Head Coach at Harkaway Tennis Club. This year, he led his women’s team to not only enter in the State Grade competition, but make it to the Grand Final where they fell short against Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club.

Alex’s successful team at Harkaway has been the culmination of the pathway he has created at Harkaway tennis club over the past eight years, with girls from a young age being able to excel from Hot Shots to high performance.

Alex has been instrumental in the women and girls space, coaching two ‘No Limits’ Junior Development squad groups. He has also paved the way for his players to becoming high performance players competing in the highest level in Victoria such as in the State Grade competition.

“The teams and programs we can create shows them the pathway, a safe environment, inclusive environment, where they want to continue the sport and hopefully keep them in as long as we can.”

“It helps them see the progression that they can have in their own tennis journey.”
