Congratulations to Sandra Casey from Drung South Tennis Club and Wimmera Region Tennis who is the Community Champion of the Month for October 2023.

Sandra is the Secretary of the Drung South Tennis Club. She keeps the clubs affiliations up to date, organises the club teams, registrations, social events, uniforms, club merchandise, the AGM and player profiles. On top of this she finds time to play in the Pennant and A Special teams!

Sandra is also the key driver behind the Wimmera Region teams and events. She organises the teams from try-outs through to accommodation and travel and works closely with the junior coordinators to give all players the best opportunity to represent their region.

Sandra organises the Wimmera Region points tournaments and has been an integral part of these moving to a digital platform to encourage more players from outside the region to participate. Sandra encourages everyone to be involved no matter whether they have played tennis before and is always welcoming to anyone who wants to try tennis or be a part of tennis on or off the court.
