Congratulations to the January 2023 Affiliate of the Month, the Albert Park Lawn Tennis Club. 

Albert Park Lawn Tennis Club has engaged with the local housing estate, Park Towers, to run a Come and Try Day for all residents in November. 

Club volunteer Nick Hinneberg took on the role of coaching to help the club offer this opportunity. Nick, along with members of the club, went to Park Towers to run a range of activities. The activities were a fun and inclusive introduction to tennis, teaching the basics of the game.  

There were also lots of giveaways provided to those who joined in on the activities on the day. Since the Come and Try Day hosted in November, the Albert Park Lawn Tennis Club is now providing tennis lessons back at the club for those that attended the day and for those that are interested. 

The Club is looking into culminating another event where everyone is once again welcomed to the Club.

The entire initiative ran by Club was a true community effort, with volunteers from the Albert Park Lawn Tennis Club taking time to provide a fun and exciting opportunity to all participants involved.  

Congratulations to the Albert Park Lawn Tennis Club for being the Affiliate of the Month for January 2023.
