Congratulations to Joshua Richmond of the Birchip Tennis Club who is the Community Champion of the Month for December 2022.

Joshua is the President of the Birchip Tennis Club in the Buloke Shire. The tennis club is located in a small regional town in North West Victoria with a population of 700.

Joshua has a passion of Joshua’s for creating a safe and welcoming space for the kids and youth of Birchip. To do this, Joshua has been the key driver behind the junior programs at the tennis Club. He has participated in the Introduction to Tennis Hot Shots program and has registered to deliver Hot Shots Community Play for the Birchip community. Joshua offers the program for free and currently has 20 kids joining in each Friday night.

As a keen player himself, Joshua has been keen to give back to the community and the children coming to the club. He represents the Birchip Tennis Club in the North Central Lawn Tennis Association, Joshua combines his Masterchef skills off the court as well. He enjoys organising the Club functions and fundraising events including a very successful French Cuisine ticketed event.
