What is your role at Tennis Victoria?

M & S: To increase the number of schools playing tennis in Victoria and provide the necessary support for this to occur.

Best thing about the role?

M: Knowing you are making a difference to the P.E curriculum and giving children their first exposure to tennis which can become a life-long activity.

S: Speaking to teachers about all the benefits of Tennis and promoting an engaging and active sport that children can have fun doing in a positive environment.

What was your previous role?

M: P.E teacher at Warrandyte High School

S: Physical Education, Health and Science Teacher

What are your interests outside of Tennis Victoria?

M: Travelling, spending time with my family and friends, playing sport.

S: Anything where I am active, spending time with family and friends and travelling.

Where has been the best place you’ve travelled, and why?

M: In 2013 I did a teacher exchange to Canada. The Rockies in Canada are amazing both in the summer and the winter. There is breathtaking scenery everywhere you look and so many great walks to do.

S: There are so many wonderful memories from places I’ve travelled but I would have to say Germany – the weather and people were beautiful and I have lots of fun memories there.

What is one interesting fact that no one else knows about you?

M: I am a qualified swim teacher

S:  I use my cutlery in the opposite hands.

If you were Prime Minister of Australia for one day, what would your first change be?

M: To fund all children to learn to swim. No one should drown because they haven’t been exposed to swimming lessons

S: Changing the signing up process to organ donation to an opt out only policy #DonateLife

If you had one super power for a day, what would it be?

M: Flying

S: Teleportation
