Congratulations to Kaitlin Staines who has an outstanding past 5 weeks, now ranked inside the world top 150.

Kaitlin is on a mission to get her world Junior ITF ranking high enough to gain direct entry in to the main draw of the Junior Grand Slams in 2017. Her results in the past 4 ITF junior events has certainly set her on the road to achieving that goal. In these events she has made the singles and doubles final every week, a fantastic physical and mental effort. Kaitlin defeated several players she had previously lost to and won 2 of the 4 singles finals and 3 of the 4 doubles finals.

Another big congratulations to ACT’s Charlie Camus who has gone on a winning streak of his own in the past 2 months. At just 9-years-old, Charlie has won 22 singles matches in a row, including the 12/u Junior Tour titles in Springwood, Bendigo, Warrnambool and has also taken out 3 doubles titles along the way. Charlie is currently ranked No.2 in Australia in the 2006 birth year.

ACT National Academy scholarship holder, Lisa Mays has had a great month playing in ITF events. Lisa won the singles title at the New Caledonia event and then combining with Kaitlin, the girls reached two doubles finals at the QLD ITF events. Lisa is currently ranked 300 in the world ITF junior rankings.

Congratulations to Ellie Koundouris, who in June, took out both the 12/u girls singles and doubles events at the Stringlab Bronze Junior event in Hobart.

And well done to ex US college player and National Academy scholarship holder Jarred Wynan, who won the AMT mens singles at the Fast 4 ACT Indoor White AMT.

Departing to US College soon, is local player Imogen Clews. Now aged 18, Imogen has been an outstanding ACT junior player for many years and has been ranked inside the top 10 in Australia most of her junior career. She now embarks on the next stage of her tennis journey, taking up a tennis scholarship at the University of Wyoming. We all wish her all the best and look forward to seeing her back in Canberra on the court.
