5 July 2021 | Tennis Victoria

Dear Victorian Tennis Community,

Welcome to the July Edition of the Tennis Victoria News.

On Tuesday 29 June, I had the pleasure on behalf of the TV Board and staff to launch our new strategy to 2024 at the Victorian Community Tennis Forum. Thank you to everyone who joined us online for the forum. As I mentioned, we look forward to working together, as a community, toward 2024. To see a short video on the new strategy please click here, and for the full version please click here.

Our vision is for the new strategy to complement the impressive results of tennis participation in Victoria that were shown across the 2020 year.

The recent data by AusPlay has shown Tennis to be a sport for life and a sport ranked in the top 10 of most popular participation activities for Adults and Children. In a year that was heavily disrupted by the pandemic, especially here in Victoria, it was pleasing to see that adult participation rates in tennis increased by 21%.

This is also evident by our increase in online court bookings by 89% via the new Play Tennis website.

It is great to see more clubs are connecting online and onboarding with our new digital platform, ClubSpark. We have now onboarded over 300 clubs as our sport becomes more digitally accessible to the public and more people are playing this great game.

If we can ever assist you, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your Tennis Victoria representative.

Until next time,

Adam Crameri
Acting Chief Executive Officer
