Today Acting Premier, The Hon James Merlino announced new COVID-19 restrictions for Greater Melbourne from 6pm tonight (Tuesday 25 May 2021).

Currently, community sport may continue with existing COVIDSafe plans.

The new restrictions:

  • Masks must be worn indoors. This includes in club houses and pavilions and indoor tennis venues. Masks are not required while participating however must be worn at all other times when indoors.
  • Public gathering groups must not be bigger than 30 people. This may affect off court events or activities at your club.

If you have been at one of the public exposure sites, please follow the Victorian Government instructions before playing at or attending a tennis venue.

Please ensure you continue to follow all COVIDSafe protocols when playing at or attending a tennis venue including checking in to the venue with the Service Victoria QR code. Please encourage all users of your venue to check in on arrival for contact tracing purposes.
