11 December 2018 | Tennis ACT

The ACT Champion of Champions ANZ Junior Development Series (JDS) for 2018 was held on Saturday 8 December at the Canberra Tennis Centre with 40 players competing in 106 matches across eight events.

Players were invited to participate in the event if they had reached the semifinals of an ANZ JDS series event and played in a minimum of three tournaments throughout the year.

Participation Manger Lenka Greenhalgh said it was a fantastic day of tennis.

“Just to make it to Champion of Champions is a great achievement.  The competitors all played some amazing tennis and the sportsmanship displayed on the day was outstanding.  It was really nice to see people congratulating each other regardless of whether they won or lost.

“Some of the age groups were so close, in particular the 11/u Boys where only six games separated positions two through seven.”

Congratulations to everyone who participated in Champion of Champions and throughout the ANZ Junior Development Series.
