The past month has seen athletes participating in events locally and interstate with a number of players recording strong results.  Junior players headed to the Bateman’s Bay Junior Championships, a Bronze JT event.  Camila Felix-Vonarx finished runner-up in the 14/u girls singles, Dylan White made the semi finals of the 12/u boys singles and won the 12/u boys doubles, while Sophie McDonald finished runner-up in the 12/u girls doubles.

At the Tennis World Capital Open Jamieson Nathan, Ashleigh Simes, and Annerly Poulos all made it through to the semifinals of the AMT singles events.  Rob and Paul Howe finished runner-up in the AMT Men’s doubles, while Sarina Kang made the final of the AMT Women’s doubles.

Annerly Poulos also posted a strong result at the Wollongong Winter Championships Platinum AMT coming through qualifying to make the final of the AMT Women’s singles.  Lisa Mays also make the semifinals of the singles, and won the AMT Women’s doubles title

Best of luck to Nick Kyrgios and the Australian Davis Cup Team who take on Belgium in the semi-finals – starting  Friday September 15.
