The first season of Super 10’s 2017 was recently held over two weekends in February and March, with six rounds of competition played.
24 boys and 16 girls from the ACT, South East and South West NSW participated in the event, with Canberra player Hugh Taylor finishing undefeated at position number one across both weekends.
Ten local coaches were involved in managing teams who provided on-court coaching support to the junior players.
ACT Talent Development Manager, Alun Jones said Super 10’s is a great fit for young local players looking to get team practice.
“It’s a great opportunity for ACT and regional players to play matches in a team environment with the added bonus of on-court coaching support,” he said.
“It’s the first time we’ve ran two seasons for a few years now and it’s great to have that structure back – it’s good for the coaches and it’s good for the kids”.
Season 2 of Super 10’s will commence in November 2017.
