8 February 2016 | Tennis Victoria

The Victorian Country Tennis Association (VCTA) is bringing its annual and much loved event, Country Week, to the border region in 2016.

Wodonga Tennis Centre are the host venue for the 2016 VCTA Country Week starting on Monday 8 February. Due to the popularity of the event, and increased demand this year, the event will stretch into Albury, also utilising the facilities at the Albury Tennis Association.

191 teams have entered this unique and hotly contested event. The border towns will welcome over 1500 players to the region from across Victoria and New South Wales as well as other Australian states.

To complement the full days’ play of tennis, there is also a packed social agenda for all involved. The tennis community will descend on the many night venues around Wodonga and Albury who are supporting the event.

The VCTA Country Week was last staged at the Wodonga Tennis Centre in 2013. In 2015, VCTA Country Week was named Most Outstanding Tournament at the Tennis Victoria Championships Dinner / Victorian Tennis Awards.

You haven’t experienced tennis until you’ve been to Country Week.
