The ACT midweek ladies have raised an incredible $1670.00 for Alzheimer’s Australia ACT at their charity event held last week. The money raised from the day will go directly to Alzheimer’s Australia ACT in supporting people with dementia and their families in the ACT. Did you know there are over 4,500 people in the ACT suffering from Alzheimer’s with some individuals as young as 45 years old?

The charity day event was held at the Belconnen and Melba Tennis clubs and had a great turn out of players supporting the charity. The day consisted of great weather, a provided lunch and prizes for our players and raffle winners.

It was great to see so many players enjoying a social hit of tennis and supporting a great cause. Thank you to everyone who was involved in the day including the players, ladies committee and our CEO Ross Triffitt for presenting the cheque to Micheal Wootton and Michelle Chaplin from Alzheimer’s Australia ACT.
