Tennis ACT hosted a ANZ Tennis Hot Shots Gala Day at the Canberra Tennis Centre on the 25th of March. Almost 200 Year 5 students from Holy Spirit Primary School and Good Shepherd Primary School attended the day. Students participated in a variety of activities including hit the target, speed serve, doubles, games, and rallying. Both schools are part of the National Schools Partnership Program (NSPP) which is a program for schools that incorporate tennis into their health and PE curriculums.
Community Tennis Manager, Anthony Okines said “It was a fantastic day of tennis for the kids. The NSPP offers kids the opportunity to get involved in tennis at their school and connect with the sport in their local community.”
