Can you tell the Tasmanian Tennis Community a bit about yourself and your background?

I grew up moving around regional Australia and at a young age fell in love with Radio stations, joining the local station 2AY for work experience in 1996.

I’ve since forged my career in the media over the last 20 years, starting in Albury in 2000, with stints in South Australia and regional Victoria.

In this time I’ve performed a number of roles for Southern Cross Austereo, including Account Manager, Sales Manager and General Manager.

I left Albury in early 2015 and made Hobart my home.

In February 2018, I commenced the role of General Manager, Tasmania.

This entails managing the day-to-day operations of SCA’s Tasmanian assets including the number one TV network, 7 Tasmania, operating from Launceston and Hobart broadcasting the Seven Network channels and also the leading Hobart radio stations, 107.3 Triple M and Hit 100.9.

I have recently extended my leadership to include Victoria in the role of Executive General Manager, Tasmania and Victoria.

My hobbies include bushwalking around Tasmania and making hand-made gifts.

What attracted you to a position on the Tennis Tasmania Board?

I believed I would be able to combine my passion as an avid tennis follower with my skillset in strategic leadership and media for the betterment of Tennis in Tasmania.

If you could describe your playing style, what would it be?

I’d describe my playing style as ‘the all-court player.’
