Coach Yeoh Kean Wah

Yeoh is a seasoned tennis coach with a diverse background in the sport.

Originally from Malaysia, Yeoh relocated to Tasmania in June 2023, and following a successful career as a full-time and freelance coach, has started coaching casually at the Domain Tennis Centre, Hobart.

With coaching experience spanning 35 years since he transitioned from playing competitively for his home country in 1988, Yeoh’s dedication to the game is evident. Having represented Malaysia in the Davis Cup from 1985 to 1988, Yeoh’s love for tennis goes beyond the court, encompassing social interaction, forming new friendships, and developing mental and physical strength.

He thrives on the social interaction that coaching offers, enjoying the opportunity to connect with people from various walks of life. His approach to the business side of coaching is marked by continuous self-improvement, unwavering commitment, punctuality, and a steadfast commitment to delivering top-notch skills and knowledge.

Yeoh has actively participated in various tennis programs sanctioned by renowned sports organizations, including the National Sports Council and the Lawn Tennis Association of Malaysia (LTAM), and has achieved certification through Dr. Larry Hall’s coaching course. The art of coaching has significantly influenced Yeoh’s personal development, fostering qualities such as patience, resilience, mental toughness, and an unquenchable thirst for knowledge.
He specializes in programs related to skills development, strength conditioning, and agility and offers a range of tennis programs through the Domain Tennis Centre, Hobart.

Fluent in English, Malay, Mandarin, and various Chinese dialects (Hokien), Yeoh possesses a diverse set of interests and talents.
