Happiness and lots of laughter were the order of the day when Sunshine Tennis Club opened their courts for a 35+ social tennis event.

The club’s six courts were in use throughout the social tennis day on 17 March, with 27 players from a number of southern tennis clubs joining in the fun.

Players earned points across the day, which helped determine winners.

Women’s winner: Rose-Anne Hassell (17 points)
Women’s runner-up: Di Mason (Kingston, 16 points)

Men’s winner: Paul O’Rourke (Sunshine, 16 points)
Men’s runner-up: Tony Rogers (15 points)

Sunshine Tennis Club secretary David Evans organised the event, with valuable support from Debbie Easther, Steve Levis and Michael Geard, as well as Toni Hawkes and Raelene Sproule who served up a delicious lunch.
