Hobart TAS 7000, Australia, 26 September 2018 | Tennis Tasmania

Promoting the sport and supporting clubs is at the heart of what we do at Tennis Tasmania, so we are excited to offer a special Hobart International ticket competition with a major prize of a trip to Australian Open 2019.

The Hobart International is the state’s biggest tournament, attracting world-class players and building a reputation for unearthing future stars over the past 25 years.

After winning the 2018 tournament, Belgian Elise Mertens continued her impressive form to reach the Australian Open semifinals and break into the world’s top 20. Recently-crowned US Open champion and world No.8 Naomi Osaka started her season in Hobart, as did Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka who has skyrocketed up the rankings to a career-high No.20.

Tennis Tasmania encourages everyone to be part of the 2019 tournament – and by booking your tickets before 28 October, local tennis clubs can win some amazing prizes.

How do clubs win?

All Tennis Tasmania-affiliated clubs are eligible, with each club needing a minimum of five separate purchases using their unique club password to enter the draw. Feel free to share your club password with family and friends to use too.

At the end of the competition period on 28 October, the clubs that qualify will be randomly drawn to win one of the following:

Major prize – A day at the Australian Open during the first week of the tournament, including flights for two people from Tasmania to Melbourne to watch all the tennis action at Rod Laver Arena. This also includes lunch.

Second prize – A box for eight people at the 2019 Hobart International, including hospitality, for the Wednesday 9 January day session. This includes a behind the scenes tour.

Third prize – A two-day finals package for four people at the Launceston International in February, including courtside seats and hospitality.

It is the winning club’s discretion how they use their prizes, but Tennis Tasmania encourages them to use them as a fundraising opportunity to further benefit their club.

What is in it for me?

Every individual that buys a ticket using one of the unique club passwords above and opts in to receive Ticketek notifications, also goes into the draw to win a ticket upgrade at the Hobart International. This includes hospitality and a behind the scenes tour.

Even if you are not a club member, you can still win as long as you enter a password. So why not support a nearby club or perhaps one your family and friends are involved with.

Good luck!
