A wonderful tennis weekend in Launceston was had between AIC Tennis Club and Kingston Tennis Club at the South vs North Ladies Friendly. This was the second year of the event, after Kingston Tennis Club hosted the inaugural event in 2023. This was formed after members from both clubs met through the Tennis Australia Women Leaders in Tennis leadership program.

Highlights this year included:

– Terrific Tennis, talented teams and some touchy weather

– Incredible hospitality and refreshments from AIC Tennis Club ladies – who won this time. But only just!

– Surprise visit to Dennis Tucker Tennis Memorabilia Museum – which needs to be seen to be believed

– Special guest – David Macpherson (retired Coach (2005-2016) of arguably the most successful ever Men’s Doubles tennis pairing – The Bryan Brothers) who entertained with stories over his professional and coaching career.

An incredibly special weekend of tennis, on and off court camaraderie and friendship.
