27 September 2024 | Tennis Tasmania
This week, Tennis Tasmania visited Sassafras Primary School, the recipient of our Most Outstanding School Award for 2024, for a special prize presentation for the students!
With an adorable special guest Wombat who lives next door to the school’s tennis court.
Each student in the school was presented with their very own racquet, as a congratulations for their award and to recognise this incredible achievement by all, including the school’s coach Pip Martin and PE Teacher Kate Munday. It was only fitting that students then celebrated by playing the sport they love.
The students and staff of Sassafras Primary School absolutely love their tennis. They have shown incredible dedication, enthusiasm and sportsmanship, with many of them continuing their tennis journey beyond the classroom and joining Pip’s programs at the Devonport Tennis Club. Tennis Tasmania value our time spent with this wonderful community and look forward to seeing the great work continue from Kate and the students at Sassy!
We are absolutely thrilled to have a partnership with Sassafras Primary School, and over 150 incredible schools across Tasmania.
