Tennis Tasmania is proud to announce its role as host for the highly anticipated Tennis National Championships, The Jack Pizzey Cup 2024, on behalf of School Sport Australia.

Taking place in southern Tasmania, The Jack Pizzey Cup 2024 will see 126 of the top young tennis players from seven states competing for the title in teams of 8 girls and 8 boys from Saturday, 4 May to Saturday, 11 May 2024.

“We’ll be giving the Pizzey Cup a bit of a different feel this year by showcasing Tasmania and adding a few more elements to the experience for the competitors,” Phoebe Davis, 2024 Pizzey Cup Championship Director said.

“For the Tasmanian team we have Alyssa Hibberd coaching the girls, James Bolzonello coaching the boys and Simon Aufder-Heide as Team Manager,” she said.

“All the team are putting in the work and in particular, fans might be keen to know Alicia Dale who was Runner Up at the Devonport 20k back in January against the top seed Tenika McGiffin, will be part of the Tasmanian team.”

Tasmania’s Pizzey Cup Team will have their last training session together in Launceston on Thursday 18 April before they individually compete in the biggest championships of the year for tennis juniors in Tasmania:

• 19 – 22 April 2024: JP250 Premier Tasmanian Junior Championships, Tennis World Launceston
• 23 – 26 April 2024: JS500 Signature Tasmanian Junior Championships, Tennis World Launceston
