The Newcombe Medal, Australian Tennis Awards celebrates and recognises the performances, achievements and contributions made by members of the tennis family each year. The Newcombe Medal is presented to Australia’s most outstanding elite player and is in honour of the achievements of Australian tennis legend John Newcombe. The black tie gala will be hosted at the Palladium Ballroom at Crown, Melbourne in December 2014.

Help celebrate a fantastic year of tennis in Tasmania by nominating your favourite area for the prestigious Newcombe Medal. The categories are NOW OPEN and are as follows;

  • Coaching Excellence – ANZ Tennis Hot Shots
  • Coaching Excellence – Club
  • Coaching Excellence – Talent Development
  • Junior Athlete of the Year
  • Most Outstanding Athlete with a Disability
  • Most Outstanding Community
  • Volunteer Achievement Award
  • Most Outstanding 35+ Tennis Senior
  • Excellence in Officiating
  • Most Outstanding Club
  • Most Outstanding Australian Ranking Tournament
  • Most Outstanding Professional Tournament
  • Most Outstanding School
