After another exciting weekend of high quality Super 10s play, Team Federer have claimed the top position honors in the Hobart division and Team Djokovic the honors in the Launceston division.
On an overcast Saturday afternoon play kicked off at the Launceston Regional Tennis Centre. In the upset of the day it was Team Federer prevailing over a previously undefeated Team Djokovic 43 games to 34. With the win Team Federer move to 1-2 overall after dropping two heart breaking losses. Highlighting the win for Team Federer were wins by Angus Foster and Oscar Edwards who both went 2-0 over the day. In the other days match it was Team Murray flexing its muscle with a strong 52 -31 games advantage. In the match of the day between Alayna Mackirdy and Connor Wright, neither player was able to gain advantage with the deadlock at 6-6. Max Lewis from Team Murray was a stout 2-0 over the day with impressive skills on hand. Over the day four awards were handed out to the participants as follows;
- Hewitt Award – Competitiveness, attitude and hard work – Angus Foster
- Ebden Award – Sportsmanship and focused on improvement – Jack Wickham
- Ebden Award – Sportsmanship and focused on improvement – George Calvert
- Duckworth Award – Sportsmanship and on court behaviour – Jake Elmer
For the Hobart division play kicked off Sunday afternoon at the Domain Tennis Centre. In the match of the round between Team Murray and Team Nadal, for the second time over the two regions it was Team Murray claiming a remarkable 36-35 games advantage. For Team Nadal, Mark Elkerton had a big 8-4 win over Victoria Fish while for Team Murray the doubles duo of Harry Pridmore and Hamish Hibberd claimed a 6-4 games advantage. In the other days match it was a battle of the two undefeated squads. In the end Team Federer were too strong prevailing over Team Djokovic by a 61-25 advantage. In the match of the day between James Giannis and Oliver Pridmore once again regulation time was unable to split the difference with a 6-6 deadlock. For Team Djokovic it was the brother combination of James and Sebastian Giannis who claimed a 10-5 advantage over Oliver Pridmore and Stephen Carr. Through this stellar play the following awards were given;
- Stosur Award – Aggression and risk taker – Sebastian Giannis
- Hewitt Award – Competitiveness, attitude and hard work – Joseph Kelly
- Barty Award – Great movement – Mark Elkerton
- Hewitt Award – Competitiveness, attitude and hard work – Hamish Hibberd
Now, with the preliminary rounds in the books we are set to begin the Semi Final matches this weekend with the following schedule;
Launceston: Taking place at the Launceston Regional Tennis Centre from 1.30 – 4pm on Saturday 22nd June.

Hobart: Taking place at the Domain Tennis Centre from 1.30-4pm on Sunday 23rd June.
