The Gove Peninsula Tennis Club had the honour of hosting the Norman Brookes Challenge Cup (Men’s trophy) and the Daphne Akhurst Memorial Cup (Women’s trophy) at their recent Presentation Dinner and Black Tie Cocktail Function.

The 2013 Australian Open winners will take home these exact full-size replica trophies, which have been touring China and Japan for the past month. Tennis Gove was the second stop on a national tour, which will take the trophies to all States and Territories before next year’s Australia Open.

Before then, they took in the sights of the Gove Peninsula including: The Pacific Aluminium Mine, Laynhapuy Aviation, Arrnhem Highway dirt track, Mt Nhulun – Marika lookout, East Woody and the Yacht Club.
