Yungaburra Tennis Club will be holding a Fast 4 competition starting on the 9th May 2016 at 6pm. It will be great so please come along and join in. To register a team or just to register yourself, please contact the club.
Singles – To win a main draw singles match in the Fast 4 format, a player must win the best of 3 sets. Sets are determined on a first-to-four-games basis, unlike the six games required in regular tennis. Tiebreakers are also reduced in length – first-to-five-points with a sudden death PowerPoint kicking in at 4 points all.
Doubles –Doubles or consolation singles match are played on a best-of-two-sets basis. Sets are first to four games & tiebreak rules are as per main draw singles. If scores are level at the end of the second set, a first-to-ten-points match tiebreaker will be played.
No advantage/no lets/quick changeovers -Player must be ready within 60 seconds of the change of ends & 90 seconds between sets. Players cannot sit down at the change of ends but may do so quickly between sets.
