Daniel Parker (TP1) was in devastating form in the #1 singles destroying Desmond McLellan (AWOF) 6-0 6-0. McLellan and doubles partner Lucas Frichot looked to be in good form in the early stages of the #1 doubles, before Parker and Darren Jacobson came back to take the rubber 7-5 6-1. Oscar Ferdinands and Rebecca Rayner won their respective singles and doubles matches for AWOF Sports; however they missed out on taking the vital premiership points by 13 games.

Darrell Halim and Frank Wallner (GT2) secured the #1 doubles in a match tie-break after dropping the second set to Nicholas Munro and Matt Giess (TP2) 6-4 3-6 10-4. Halim also secured the #1 singles over Munro 6-2.

Daniel Parker (TP1) has taken a commanding lead in the People’s Choice Metro League Player of the Year with Michael Shepheard (GT1) and David Bridges (GT1) tied in second place.

Gardens Tennis 1 maintain their lead at the top of the People’s Choice Metro League Ladder, 4 points clear of their nearest rivals, Gardens Tennis 2 with two minor rounds left to play before the semi-finals.
