Round Six

Gardens Tennis 2 edged out compatriots and Metro League leaders, Gardens Tennis 1 in the top of the table clash !

Gardens Tennis 1:  3 Rubbers / 6 Sets / 61 Games

Harrison Lee-Schell (GT1) was extended to the match tie-break in the #1 singles against Darrell Halim (GT2). Halim was in control early, taking the first set 6-1. However Lee-Schell fought back to take the second 6-4 and continued the form into the match tie-break taking it 10-2. David Bridges (GT1) and Andrew Hawke (GT2) also had a great tussle in the #4 singles, with Bridges coming through in the match tie-break 7-5 5-7 7-6.

In a battle for bragging rights Tennis Palmerston 1 narrowly overcame Tennis Palmerston 2 !

Tennis Palmerston 2:  3 Rubbers / 6 Sets / 57 Games

Daniel Parker and Sam Giess (TP1) where in devastating form in the #1 doubles taking care of Nicholas Munro and Matt Giess (TP2) 7-5 6-3. Parker backed up with another impressive win in the #1 singles over Munro 6-2 6-1.

After Round Six of the People’s Choice Metro League Gardens Tennis 1 narrowly maintain their lead with 56 points over Gardens Tennis 2 on 54 points.

Michael Shepheard (GT1) and David Bridges (GT1) are tied for the lead in the People’s Choice Metro League Player of the Year with Daniel Parker one point behind.
