Saturday afternoon competition in the Benalla & District Tennis Association. Competition runs from October through to March each year.

Monday Ladies play in the Broadford & District Tennis Association competition. This competition runs throughout the year.

SOCIAL TENNIS ANYONE?

The Avenel Tennis Club will be opening on a Tuesday morning from 9.30am for anyone wishing to have a fun, social hit of tennis. No racquet is no excuse as we have plenty of spare ones in the clubrooms. Haven’t played in ages – no excuse – now is your chance. For more information contact Dee Wright

Juniors

Junior tennis is a fun way for young tennis players to improve their tennis skills and learn a love of the game. Players must be able to serve and rally to be considered for a team and under 18 years of age.

Juniors play in the Broadford & District Junior Tennis Association. Matches are held Saturday morning throughout the season (there are two seasons – Summer and Winter).  Players compete in one set of singles and two sets of doubles played with their team-mate, working their way towards semi-finals and finals against other teams.  Teams are selected on age and ability with each team having several players, whom are rostered to play each week. There are several divisions based on skill level. Saturday tennis is a great way for junior players to meet new friends and enjoy sport at the weekend.
