Earlier in the month on the final day of term 1 (Thursday April 2nd), Tennis NT, Gardens Tennis and School of Sport Education (SSENT) came together to delivering the Darwin Region Primary Schools Tennis Gala Day. The day was all about tennis, friends, prizes, music, and a whole lot of fun.
Over 85 students across 5 schools in the Darwin Region participated on the day, including:
- Alawa Primary School
- Larrakeyah Primary School
- Leanyer School
- Nemarluk School
- Wanguri Primary School
Despite the sweltering hot conditions on court, the vibes were flowing and the tennis even better. Congratulations to Larrakeyah Primary School for taking the win this year and thank you to all our participants, teachers, and schools for making this possible. Special shoutout to Amanda Macpherson and Hannah Doust from SSENT, Martin Rocca from Tennis NT and Maggie Palfrey from Gardens Tennis for their roles in bringing the day together. We would also like to thank SEDA, one of our valued partners who provided great support on the day as well.
