The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award
Tennis NT is proud to support The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award, a global youth development program empowering young Australians aged 14-24 to explore their full potential regardless of their location or circumstance.
Tennis NT can help young people completing their Duke of Ed Level to for physical Recreation, Skills and/or Voluntary Service sections with our member clubs and Tennis NT. For example, working bees, event assistance, online marketing, delivering tennis and more!
Our experienced and skilled members meet Working with Children Check requirements and are willing to be a Duke of Ed Assessor.
We recogniuse that young people who participate use the internationally renowned “Duke of Ed” framework:
- Are equipped and empowered to achieve their personal best
- Learn to take responsibility for their goals and choices
- Become connected to and actively engaged within their immediate community
- Make a real difference to society through their positive contributions and involvement
- Learn to persevere and overcome barriers to success
- Learn important life skills
- Increase their career opportunities.
