The Tennis NT Board is excited to announce the appointment of Tania Tandora to the position of Chief Executive Officer.

Tandora comes to Darwin from Melbourne, where she was the Tennis Australia Head of Tennis Digital Strategy and led the digitisation of tennis product. During her tenure, Tandora was responsible for growing the number of clubs and coaches that offer tennis products online resulting in a 36 per cent increase in the volume of clubs that offer membership to be purchased online, and 31 per cent increase in online court hire.

She also oversaw the creation of the National Play Tennis website play.tennis.com.au to serve as a marketing call-to-action. National results in 2022 saw an 86 per cent increase in web traffic, and a 70 per cent increase in transactions on that website.

Prior to joining Tennis Australia in 2019, Tandora held senior roles at STA Travel and ANZ bank where she was responsible for their digital transformation strategies.

Tennis NT President Steve Rossingh welcomed Tandora to the team.

“We are delighted that Tania Tandora has decided to make the move to the NT. Her impressive background in digital strategy and leading high performing teams as well as her existing relationships in Tennis Australia makes her the ideal person to lead our organisation over the next few years as we look to continue to grow tennis across the NT,” Rossingh said.

Tandora is excited to join the team.

“I’m honoured for the opportunity to join the Tennis NT team and look forward to further develop the love of the game in the NT. It is an exciting time for tennis and I can’t wait to continue to strengthen our commitment to grow opportunities and connections for all Territorians especially Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples,” Tandora said.

Tania will commence in her new role on 5 June following a thorough recruitment process involving a joint selection panel formed by the Tennis NT Board and Tennis Australia.

In the meantime, Tennis NT Talent Operations Manager Jessica Polack will continue in the role of acting CEO.
