Kassandra Dunser has reached her first ITF Junior singles final at the Auckland 18/U ITF Summer Championships.

Dunser defeated the 13th, 8th and 5th seeds on her way to the finals, overcoming a slow start to defeat doubles partner Samantha Harris (VIC) in the semi-finals 2-6 6-3 6-3.

Dunser will face tough opposition in the finals against 4th seed Abbie Myers (NSW), who defeated tournament top seed Brooke Rischbieth (SA) in the other semi.

In the doubles, Dunser advanced to her  third ITF doubles final with a convincing win over Natsumi Chimura (JPN) and Celine Lenertz (NSW) 6-4 6-2 in the semi-finals. However, Dunser and Harris lost the battle of the Aussies going down to top seeds Brooke Rischbieth (SA) and Abbie Myers (NSW) 3-6 1-6 in the final.
