February 2021

Hello Ladies,

Needless to say, our 1st Ladies Midweek competition got off to a shaky start with all games washed out, with the exception of Bundanoon who completed their match, ‘persevered’ as Captain Gillian explained. However, I’m sure all ladies were very glad competition tennis was back on the courts.

We have 3 Divisions, Bowral 4 in Division 1, Bowral 6 in Division 2, and Bowral 24 in Division 3 returning to our Ladies Midweek competition. Moss Vale 55 did not return but hopefully will return for our 2nd Ladies Midweek comp this year.

Please take note ladies, result sheets are to be emailed or left with Secretary Trish Kellett no later than the Saturday noon following the match. This arrangement, plus phone which also applies to notifying re forfeit or wash-out match.

Please also note the new arrangement re tennis balls. Home team supplies 4 tennis balls of an approved brand from an airtight tin when playing on two courts, 2 new tennis balls when playing on one court. This arrangement has come about due to the uncertainty of availability of tennis balls.

Our Association held the first General Meeting for 2021 on Tuesday, 23rd February. Report on this meeting is detailed in this Newsletter for your information.

Enjoy your tennis ladies, don’t forget to keep well and safe and follow the guidelines as detailed in the COVID Guidelines enclosed in your Draw package. Good tennissing!
