Australia\u2019s best 18 and under tennis players will compete at Alexander Park Tennis Club<\/strong> in the Australian High Schools tournament, the Pizzey cup<\/strong>, starting on Sunday 4 May<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Teams comprising eight boys and eight girls from every State and the ACT will assemble at 5.30 pm on Saturday 3 May for a spectacular opening ceremony.\u00a0 The Minister for Sport and Recreation, Mr Terry \u201cTuck\u201d Waldron will attend along with officials from School Sport Australia and Tennis West.<\/p>\n Play commences each morning at 9.00am, with teams playing each other in a round robin draw for the \u201cJack Pizzey Cup\u201d.\u00a0 Boys and girls singles and doubles and a mixed doubles are played.\u00a0 The last round will be played on Saturday 10 May.<\/p>\n Each afternoon players will compete in an elimination singles draw competition for the Australia Cup.\u00a0 The finals to decide the best boy and girl player will be held on Saturday 10 May from 1.00pm with chair umpires and linespeople officiating.<\/p>\n The finals round will be followed by a magnificent closing ceremony with the presentation of trophies and the naming of the All-Australian team.<\/p>\n You are encouraged to come along and watch what could well be the best tennis played on the APTC courts in recent times, who knows you might be watching a soon-to-be\u00a0 Australian Open Champion!<\/p>\n For more information about the history of the Pizzey Cup, click here: http:\/\/www.schoolsport.edu.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/Jack-Pizzey-Cup-History.pdf<\/a><\/p>\n The following players will represent Western Australia.
