Anja Dokic<\/strong> won the Girls singles 16 and under National Championship<\/strong> at the December Showdown <\/strong>over the weekend. The win comes with a wildcard into the group 1 ITF<\/strong> in Victoria<\/strong> along with a wildcard into the Australia Open<\/strong> junior girls singles event. Anja<\/strong> also won the Girls doubles 16<\/strong> and under<\/strong>\u00a0National Championships<\/strong> with Megan Kaufmann<\/strong> ( WA State Academy<\/strong>). These two results in addition to Maddison Inglis<\/strong> winning the Girls singles 18 and under Nationals<\/strong> are a fantastic outcome for the player development programs in place at the State Tennis Centre<\/strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

WA juniors<\/strong> had one the strongest showings at this year’s December Showdown National Championships.<\/strong> The final results for WA<\/strong> players include:<\/p>\n

18’s Girls Singles <\/strong>
\nWinner \u2013 Madison Inglis<\/strong> (WA) Earns a wildcard into qualifying at the AO Women’s event<\/p>\n

16’s Girls Singles<\/strong>
\nWinner \u2013 Anja Dokic<\/strong> (WA) Earns a Wildcard into the Main Draw of the Australian Open juniors event<\/p>\n

16’s Girls Doubles<\/strong>
\nWinners \u2013 Anja Dokic & Meghan Kauffman<\/strong> (WA)<\/p>\n

16’s Boys Doubles<\/strong>
