National Academy athletes, Jack Lyttle<\/strong> and Scott Jones<\/strong> have recently returned to Perth after participating in two Junior ITF Group 5<\/strong> events in Gosford, NSW.<\/p>\n

Scott Jones<\/strong> was a consistent performer over the two weeks reaching the quarterfinals of the singles in both events. Jack Lyttle<\/strong> lost a tight three set match against the number one seed in the first tournament and made it through to the semi finals of the singles in the second event.<\/p>\n

Both players will gain confidence and valuable ranking points following the two events and will now set their sights on the December Showdown<\/strong> in Melbourne towards the end of the year.<\/p>\n

Megan Kauffman <\/strong>and Sara Stikic<\/strong> teamed up and made it through to the quarterfinals of the doubles event of the second tournament.<\/p>\n

State Coach, Len Cannell<\/strong> ran a duty of care tour for the events and along with fellow WA coaches; Laura Bugg, Peter Schoolkate, Brad Dyer, John Roberts <\/strong>and John Thorpe<\/strong> was present at the Sydney Nationals the week earlier.<\/p>\n
