{"id":3773,"date":"2012-02-01T16:38:39","date_gmt":"2012-02-01T08:38:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/wa\/?p=3773"},"modified":"2012-02-01T16:38:39","modified_gmt":"2012-02-01T08:38:39","slug":"bobusic-through-to-burnie-quarters","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/wa\/news\/2012\/02\/01\/bobusic-through-to-burnie-quarters","title":{"rendered":"Bobusic through to Burnie Quarter&#8217;s"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>WA&#8217;s <strong>Bojana Bobusic<\/strong> today moved easily through to the Quarter Finals of the <strong>$25,000 McDonald&#8217;s Burnie International<\/strong> after defeating New South Whales <strong>Emelyn Starr<\/strong> 6-3 6-3.<\/p>\n<p>The number 7 seed sandgroper\u00a0will now battle <strong>Monique Adamczak<\/strong> (NSW) to advance to the semi finals.<\/p>\n<p>Bobusic will be looking for revenge after Adamczak knocked her out of the Traralgon International in November last year.<\/p>\n<p>Bobusic, who has had a stellar past 13 months shooting up her ranking from a 2010 season ending 596 to todays career high of 225 and Australian Ranking of number 9. Tennis Australia granted the thriving West Aussie a wildcard\u00a0into this year&#8217;s Australian Open. She pulled strong competition, up against German starlet Angelique Kerber. Boibusic put up a good fight against her much higher ranked opponant, but was edged out in straight sets.<\/p>\n<p>Bobusic evidently took alot from the experience stating &#8220;It could have gone either way and I&#8217;ve still got a lot to work on, but hopefully I&#8217;ll be back next year to give it another crack.
