A new term brings even more schools to celebrate, and Tennis West is excited to announce an exciting new evolution of our\u00a0School of the Term\u00a0recognition.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

From this term onwards, we will be acknowledging\u00a0two outstanding schools each term;\u00a0one\u00a0metro\u00a0and one\u00a0regional. This is\u00a0to better\u00a0recognise\u00a0the incredible commitment to school tennis being shown right across Western Australia.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

For Term 1, we are proud to celebrate\u00a0Georgiana Molloy Anglican School\u00a0as our regional winner and\u00a0Wesley College\u00a0as our metro winner, with both schools\u00a0demonstrating\u00a0exceptional commitment,\u00a0participation\u00a0and performance throughout the Schools Classic series.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Regional Winner \u2013 Georgiana Molloy Anglican School\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Leading the way for our regional schools this term is\u00a0Georgiana Molloy Anglican School, whose standout achievement was claiming the\u00a0country final title at the State Tennis Centre.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This outstanding result capped off an exceptional term of competition for the school, which first\u00a0showcased\u00a0its strength in Bunbury with an impressive\u00a0winner and runner-up finish in the boys Herbert Edwards event, while also securing\u00a0runner-up\u00a0honours\u00a0in the\u00a0girls\u00a0competition.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

These results highlight the depth of talent and the strength of the school\u2019s tennis program across multiple teams.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What makes this recognition even more impressive is the commitment shown beyond their regional competitions. Following their success in Bunbury and at the country final, all three teams then made the journey to Perth to compete in the metro stages of the competition,\u00a0demonstrating\u00a0a fantastic willingness to test themselves against strong opposition.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Their efforts were rewarded, with the\u00a0girls\u00a0team advancing all the way to the\u00a0semi-finals of Division 2 in the metro Herbert Edwards\u00a0girls\u00a0event.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The level of travel, participation and commitment shown by Georgiana Molloy Anglican School reflects a school culture that truly values tennis and the opportunities it creates for students. Their continued engagement across both regional and metro events is a fantastic example of the pathways available to country schools through Tennis West competitions.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Metro Winner \u2013 Wesley College\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our metro School of the Term,\u00a0Wesley College, has once again delivered an exceptional year across the Schools Classic calendar.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Wesley\u2019s achievements this term include\u00a0winning the Academy Plate Boys event,\u00a0claiming the PSA competition, and proudly taking home the\u00a0Corr Cup.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Adding to an already outstanding season, the school has also progressed to the\u00a0final of the Slazenger Cup\u00a0boys\u00a0event, underlining their continued strength in the\u00a0school\u00a0tennis landscape.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Beyond the results, Wesley College\u2019s recognition comes from their\u00a0consistent support and attendance in the Schools Classic year on year. Their ongoing participation across multiple events\u00a0demonstrates\u00a0a genuine commitment to school tennis and provides students with regular opportunities to compete,\u00a0develop\u00a0and represent their school with pride.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This sustained involvement plays\u00a0an important role\u00a0in strengthening the competition and helping grow the sport across the metro region.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Both schools have exemplified what the School of the Term award is all about: commitment, community,\u00a0performance\u00a0and a genuine passion for tennis.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
