{"id":21650,"date":"2026-04-01T15:28:01","date_gmt":"2026-04-01T07:28:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/wa\/?p=21650"},"modified":"2026-04-01T15:28:46","modified_gmt":"2026-04-01T07:28:46","slug":"2025-26-summer-leagues-end-on-high","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/wa\/news\/2026\/04\/01\/2025-26-summer-leagues-end-on-high","title":{"rendered":"2025\/26 Summer Leagues End on High"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>All divisions of the 2025\/26 Summer League concluded last week with the final division finishing on Thursday.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">It\u00a0was another season of continued growth within the Summer Tennis Leagues which saw for the first time, over 8,000\u00a0participants compete in\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">various divisions.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0There\u00a0was\u00a0a total of 8,181 participants, an increase of 600 from the 2024\/25 summer season.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:0,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">It has now been two consecutive summer league seasons where\u00a0Tennis West\u00a0have\u00a0seen continued growth in\u00a0summer\u00a0league\u00a0participation.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:0,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">In total, there were 150 divisions\u00a0across the Summer\u00a0(up from 148 in 2024\/25)\u00a0with 1,005 teams\u00a0entered\u00a0into a division up from six from last season.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:0,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">After the success of winning their first Women\u2019s State League title since\u00a02016\/17, Cottesloe was the most successful club, winning a total of\u00a013 titles including the junior girl\u2019s State League and women\u2019s Division One titles.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:0,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Next best was Mt\u00a0Lawley\u00a0with seven titles, highlighted by the men\u2019s Division One title. Right behind Mt\u00a0Lawley\u00a0was Applecross, Blue Gum Park, Scarborough,\u00a0Sorrento\u00a0and\u00a0Wanneroo\u00a0all with six titles.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:0,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Other clubs who achieved success throughout the summer\u00a0leagues\u00a0season\u00a0were\u00a0Bayswater, City Beach, Peppermint\u00a0Grove\u00a0and Wembley Downs with five titles.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:0,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Along with Blue Gum Park\u2019s six division titles, the club had a total of 10 most valuable players (MVP\u2019s), the most out of any club.
