{"id":21628,"date":"2026-03-27T11:07:15","date_gmt":"2026-03-27T03:07:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/wa\/?p=21628"},"modified":"2026-03-27T11:07:31","modified_gmt":"2026-03-27T03:07:31","slug":"2025-26-junior-state-league-most-valuable-players-revealed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tennis.com.au\/wa\/news\/2026\/03\/27\/2025-26-junior-state-league-most-valuable-players-revealed","title":{"rendered":"2025\/26 Junior State League Most Valuable Players Revealed"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>The Junior Girl\u2019s and Boy\u2019s State League Most Valuable Players have been confirmed with Adam Miller (Reabold) and\u00a0Jasmin\u00a0Heapes\u00a0(Cottesloe) both winning the award after dominant seasons.<\/strong><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:0,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">The pair were two of a very few to have won all their singles matches throughout the season.\u00a0For Jasmin\u00a0Heapes, it was a busy season which saw her play in the Women\u2019s State League for Royal Kings Park on a Saturday while then backing it up on a Sunday to play for Cottesloe Tennis Club.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:0,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">The quantity of matches throughout the summer calendar would have helped her achieve a\u00a0100% win\u00a0rate in her singles matches, winning seven matches.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:0,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Heapes won singles matches against the likes of quality opposition such as Isabelle Criddle, Karin Hiramatsu, Misty\u00a0Woodhouse\u00a0and Sumner Royall \u2013 all players\u00a0who have played women\u2019s State League.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:0,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">What made her season most impressive was that\u00a0Heapes\u00a0consistently played in the number one position.\u00a0Heapes\u00a0also had an impressive record in doubles matches, winning all five of her\u00a0doubles\u00a0rubbers throughout the season.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:0,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Her summer season culminated on Sunday when she won her singles tie against Mt\u00a0Lawley\u2019s\u00a0Vinciguerra\u00a06-3 6-1 in the\u00a0girl\u2019s\u00a0final which saw her side Cottesloe win the title.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:0,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">It was\u00a0similar\u00a0success in the Junior Boy\u2019s State League with this season\u2019s MVP Adam Miller playing a pivotal role in the boy\u2019s final.\u00a0Miller defeated Lucas Sirbu in the final 6-2 6-4 which helped Reabold defeat Cottesloe 3-1.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:0,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Miller\u2019s season was also filled with plenty of success, going throughout the season\u00a0undefeated in both singles and doubles matches.\u00a0Playing regularly in the number four position,\u00a0Miller won all eight of his singles rubbers\u00a0and more impressively, did not drop a single set. This was similar in his doubles matches, going through the season undefeated in eight matches and not dropping a set.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:0,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">The strength of Cottesloe in the girl\u2019s competition was clearly shown with Mayla Manoj\u00a0and Leni Vila\u00a0finishing the home and away season with a 5-1 win-loss record\u00a0while Amelia Hilton went through undefeated in her four singles matches.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:0,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Mt\u00a0Lawley\u2019s\u00a0Benita Vinciguerra (6-2 win-loss singles record) and UWA\u2019s Grace Gribbon (4-1 win-loss singles record) were also impressive throughout the season.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:0,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">In the boy\u2019s competition, Miller\u2019s teammate Trevor Eastwood was just one win short of\u00a0challenging\u00a0for the boy\u2019s MVP, winning\u00a0seven singles matches and not losing any.
